The Midcoast Maine Book Arts group is very pleased to be hosted in the Carey Gallery of the Skidompha Public Library in Damariscotta, Maine, for the month of April, 2024. Our artists create and illustrate a wide range of book forms, including miniature books, paper sculpture, stitched paper images, photography, calligraphy, print material and various versions of pop-up and accordion books. Come enjoy the visual delight and broad range of book arts themes and techniques in this month's exhibit.

Formed in 2018, MMBA is an informal collective with a mission to promote, encourage, and educate working and aspiring book artists in the midcoast Maine area. The group is dedicated to creating and sharing work, processes, and materials with one another to expand and support each other's efforts and skills. We seek to exhibit the works of our members as well as other book artists, hosting artist book workshops, mentoring sessions, and community events with the goal to enlighten the general public about this art form.
