Join instructor Joelle Webber as she guides students through a day-long journey of paper arts! The Lidded Box is the perfect beginner's box. This course will demystify the process while gaining experience using wet adhesives with multiple types of materials. We will learn many important tools & techniques needed in the book arts. 

We will all end the day with a hand-bound box that we can each collage and decorate in our own style. This day long class will be taught in two, 3 hour sessions: 9am-noon & 1-4pm, with an hour break for lunch.

Joelle has spent 40 years collecting book arts techniques in college and workshop settings. At Mermaid Bindery she binds books and boxes for others as well as writing, paper decorating, collage, calligraphy, pop-up and paper sculpting to illustrate her own artist books. Building on these creative techniques, she designs workshops for many different communities of makers.
