When I think of summer I think of swimming. I think of the aquamarine pool, the dive board, cannonballs, and games of shark. I think of the icy Atlantic, tide pools, and diving off the dock into deep salty water. During this month’s Community Write, we’ll explore the depths of our immersive summer experiences: memories of swimming, a trip abroad immersed in a new language. We’ll explore moments of summer where our minds and bodies were fully occupied in the present moment, and we’ll tell those stories. 

We’ll write for process instead of product, for exploration and empathy, to see the world with new eyes, and to know what is deeply true for us. We’ll allow curiosity and a wide mind to guide our exploration.
