In collaboration with Gulf of Maine Books in Brunswick, Maine, the Chocolate Church Arts Center (CCAC) invites the community to come together in a celebration of poetry, Middle Eastern flavors, and music. The event will feature local poets sharing original works that speak to themes of resilience, humanity, and hope, set against the backdrop of vibrant cultural sounds and tastes. All are welcome to attend this Mainstage event! Proceeds from Hummus and Poetry will benefit The Gaza Soup Kitchen. Hummus and Poetry events were once an annual tradition at Gulf of Maine Books before COVID. CCAC is delighted to reinvigorate this tradition in collaboration with Gulf of Maine Books and with the sister and brother team, Zeina and Fateh, who helped launch the series.
