Wiscasset Creative Alliance proudly presents the inaugural Wiscasset Homes on Tour! The tour will feature a uniquely beautiful home once owned by a wealthy ship captain, a charming home with exquisite collections, a fascinating in-tact historic structure that provides a window into early taste and comfort, and more. All are located in or near the lovely historic Village of Wiscasset, Maine.
Settled in 1660, picturesque Wiscasset once had a prolific ship-building industry, now long gone, along the shores of the tidal Sheepscot River. But those emblems of wealth – the well-preserved, handsome Federal-style homes – are why Wiscasset is known as “the prettiest village in Maine.”
Visit Wiscasset’s Homes on Tour on July 9 (one day only) for history, splendor, and inspiration! More details and ticket information can be found on the Alliance web site. (image: ‘Garden of Musical Wonder’ by Roberta Goschke.)
