Can you help a child learn to read? Midcoast Literacy urgently needs new volunteers to help meet demand for their programs!

Read Together Tutor Training prepares volunteers to work with children ages 6-14. No experience is necessary. Training includes three sessions: Monday, May 19; Wednesday, May 21; Friday, May 23, from 9am to 1pm each day. Tutors work with students in northern Cumberland, Sagadahoc, and Lincoln counties. 

Assigned students may be English language learners or students who are struggling to learn to read and write at grade level. Volunteers are expected to meet twice a week for an hour, year-round, with their students.
